Yusun W91 - PandaWill.com

Brand: Yusun
Model: W91
Purchased from: PandaWill.com

I bought 1 of these cellphones on May 17th and got it by June 11th, and I also bought another one on May 28th and got it by July 2nd.

Both items were sent from Singapore through registered air mail. The first one took less than 1 month to get to El Salvador, but the second one took a little more than 1 month. Shipping is really variable.

I got them for $56.56 each at PandaWill.com. They were on a clearance sale. I didn't really check for their regular price, but I'm sure they weren't so cheap regularly.

Each package included 1x cellphone, 1x 1850 mAh battery, 1x USB cable, 1x charger, 1x US charger adapter, and 1x user manual. Everything was well packed in both cases.

The screen is 4.5 inches, 960 x 540 pixels, capacitive touch screen.

It's factory unlocked, works with 2G: GSM 900/1800MHz and 3G: WCDMA 2100MHz. It has dual SIM card, dual stand by.

I had a problem here with both cellphones. The cellphone's description on PandaWill.com said it worked with 2G: GSM 850/900/1800/1900Mhz networks and 3G: WCDMA 2100MHz networks, but when I got the first cellphone I found it only worked with 2G: GSM 900/1800MHz networks and 3G: WCDMA 2100MHz networks. I tried different SIM cards but it only got signal for Digicel SIM cards (a Salvadorean company that uses a 900MHz network and that isn't so common between people). After that, I did some research and found many pages saying what I just wrote about the cellphone's working networks. I already notified PandaWill.com to get that problem solved. I had to keep them like that without getting any refund or discount because I didn't want to send my cellphone back to China to be checked by them. They also told me to record a video for them where I explained the problem but I didn't do it because I was really busy at the university by that tiem and I had no time to do it. They were kind and tried to give me a solution but I didn't get it on time and I didn't get any "good" solution for me.

The cellphone has dual cameras. Front camera is 0.3MP and back camera is 8.0MP, full HD, with flash light and auto focus. Both cameras work nice, take good pictures, and record good videos. I think the back camera is interpolated, but it still takes good photos.

It works with Android 4.0.4 OS. You can download many apps and games for it from Play Store or from other websites such as Mobogenie market.

Size is good, it's perfect for most of the people I have asked for their opinion about it. Screen is very bright and clear, and also has great definition for me. Wifi navigation is fast, I don't complain about it. Battery lasts a little more than 1 day with regular use, around 5 to 7 hours with frequent use, and almost 2 days or a little more with low use.

Music player is nice and sounds a pretty loud, video player is nice too. Calling is very easy.

One of the cons I've found is that they don't come with their own earphones, but they also don't work well with other earphones. I've tried like 7 different pairs of earphones from other cellphones and music players, but none of them works properly. Some of them have really low volume, another one just makes weird noises, another pair doesn't work at all, and with 2 pairs just 1 earphone works. I also used the 7 pairs of earphones with other devices (including my laptop) and they all worked well there, so I found the problem is on the cellphones.

This cellphone has 512MB RAM and 4GB ROM; CPU is MTK6577, Cortex A7 dual core, 1.0GHz; GPU is PowerVR SGX 531. Performance is quite enough for a cellphone with those characteristics. Not an awesome phone, but not a total waste (except for the problem I wrote before). It can be a little slow sometimes, but it works well most of the time.

Overall, the cellphone has great appearance and performance. Until now, the only bad thing I've found is what I wrote before about the earphone jack, but it's not a problem if you don't use earphones to listen to music in your cellphone or make/receive calls. If you do, you better look for another solution like using bluetooth earphones or a bluetooth speaker to make calls, receive calls or listen to music; or using another device to play music. The cellphone's speaker is loud and clear by the way.

It was cheap for its characteristics, but now I learned cheap things usually come with a problem.

I was checking PandaWill.com to see if this cellphone is available now, but I found it's not available anymore. I asked them for it and they said their production has been stopped. It's only available on eBay.
